I just saw Scrubs tonight and it was a musical. It was so well written and absolutely hysterical. Who knew the Janitor (Neil Flynn) could sing so well.
Tonight's episode centered around a patient who hears everyone singing in a musical style. So they did an entire story line as if the show were a Broadway musical. And it was awesome, and I cannot believe I enjoyed it as much as I did. They were able to deal with many normal plot lines, like Turk and Carla's baby, JD and Elliott's living arrangement, and of course JD's and Turks Guy Love. I hope to have videos posted from YouTube later.
I had seen on TVSQUAD back in early December that they were working on a musical episode, and I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about how it would turn out. I am not crazy about musicals to begin with, they are often quite contrived situations and I could never figure out why all the singing. But I have to hand it to the writers to find the absolutely correct songs to fit the show. It was a pretty standard superior episode. If you have a chance, set your TIVO and catch it when it plays again.
