So I have been conversing with an old friend, who just happens to be gay. This person was concerned and/or bothered by implications made by me in this blog about (soon to be former) Senator Larry Craig that gay sex is perverted. As I found out this person is a new reader to this space and I want to make sure they come back, and if any of my other 5-10 readers are homosexuals or were offended by my remarks then I apologize.
I dont want any reader to be driven off by my sometimes flippant (and often very careless) remarks. My point in this blog is to simply give me a venue to express my opinion to the world and anyone that will listen/read. Too often, I don't take the time to review and edit my comments, it is more stream of conciousness rather than meaningful thoughtful retrospective analysis of the day's happenings.
If I offend you, please let me know. It most likely was not my intent. By bringing it to my attention, then I am able to either improve my writing, by making me more aware of how I am presenting an issue, or at least starting a dialouge between you and me, which will give me an opportunity to discuss my indescretion and perhaps learn from my misdeed, apparently unlike the aforementioned Senator Larry Craig.
Now that I have that out of the way, my feeling is kudo's to whoever is getting it, in what ever form they wish from whomever they choose to be getting it from. As long as it does not involve children or non-homosapiens. If two people love one another and wish to take their relationship to the next level then so be it, who am I to disagree. Even if they don't really like one another and they are consulting adults, how does their behaviour effect me, or my family? It does not!
What people do in their own time is their own business, and the government and the citizens have no right or place to restrict this behaviour. I hope I have set the record straight.

The perversion in Craig's case are not his sexual preferences, but the way he has represented himself in politics and the media.
The guy is a jackass.

Yes, this guy is a (and his whole party) hypocritical jackass.
It is amazing that they force this guy to resign, especially since the governor of Idaho (a Republican) will most like appoint another member of the same party. ON the flip side, David Vitter remains in the Senate since the Democratic Gov of Louisiana would most likely send a member of the opposition to Washington.
Ultimately it is just politics as usual. It has nothing to do with who you diddle, if they can replace you and not lose a seat you are gone.
