The Broome Dusters were a hockey team from my
home town of Binghamton NY, who played in the NAHL from 1973-1977 and they are rumored to be the inspiration for the Charlestown Chiefs from the movie Slap Shot. Some of the Dusters even did appear in the movie, with Rod Bloomfield even doing the skating in the long shots in place of Paul Newman.

Ken Holland, the current GM of the Detroit Red Wings, was also a member of this club.
I have been perusing ebay and the Internet looking for an authentic Dusters jersey, but have had no luck. So if any other Binghamton natives stumble across this site and knows how I can get my hands on an authentic jersey, please let me know.
So until I find a better representation of who I am this will be my symbol across the Internet.

What's wrong Jeff don't want anyone to know what ya look like?! LOL
Hey a hockey team is always a good choice. HOCKEY ROCKS!
Squirrel,
Honestly, I dont think you or anyone want to see what I look like. For those of you out there that do know me, they understand that my face is no treat and not worth sharing.
Luckily the mrs takes me as I am and we have been able to produce cute kids, at least in my biased opinion they are cute.
Thanks for the comment
Believe me, he's right. I have to look at his mug 5 days a week! He even wears Hanson Bros. glasses!
Ned Braden: What are you doing?
Jeff Hanson: Puttin' on the foil!
Steve Hanson: Every game!
Jack Hanson: Want some?
Hmm, I wonder if that is why my wife hates my these glasses.
I think Earl is right, I think i subconciously picked them because it makes me look and maybe even feel (stupider?) like the Hanson brothers.
I like it. I haven't seen Slapshot in years, but I remember loving it as a kid.
You should def go back and rent Slapshot. It is absolutely hysterical and stands up very well over time.

Jeff, my father was the organist for the dusters. Those are some of my fondest days, sitting in the loft of the arena organ platform, watching all those stars play as my dad played the rhythm of the game. Thanks for the awesome flashback. Kevin moppert
