American Disloyalty

American Disloyalty

You know, I am watching the Daily Show and the guest is Senator John McCain, who clearly wants to be the next president of the United States.  It was a pretty uneventful interview until the last seconds, when McCain says that the Senate and Washington politicians need to get over accusing the other party of being disloyal or un-American if they ever expect to get anything accomplished.  This struck me as a very valid point, since it seems that more time is spent with muck raking and name calling, rather than working on real effective legislation.  Why is it that our elected officials feel the need to claim the other party is not patriotic, isn’t every member of that body, doing the most patriotic thing possible,  Weird.
